SCORPIONS Guitarist: 'To Cancel Any Upcoming Performances Would Disappoint The Fans'
December 2, 2007Guitarist Rudolf Schenker of the veteran German hard rockers SCORPIONS has issued the following statement:
"Dear fans, during our show last Friday [November 30] in Clermont Ferrand, France I tore a muscle in my foot. Therefore, I was forced to play the rest of the performance in just one area of the stage.
"To cancel that concert or to cancel any upcoming performances would disappoint the fans so that was out of the question.
"I hope that all the fans will understand that I will not be able to exhibit my full stage energy until my injury heals.
"I have consulted with Germany's best sports medicine physician and I am receiving the best treatment.
"I look forward to the future shows where I am able to give my maximum stage performance. Until then, thank you for your continued support and see you in Portugal and India in the coming weeks."
Low-quality fan-filmed video footage of the Clermont concert can be found at YouTube.
